Our History

Payroll Select was founded by Mark Miller in the fall of 2007. Mark had worked for one of the national payroll providers for several years when he recognized a gap in the industry. There were the national companies that provided a great deal of products and services, but lacked in customer relationships. Conversely, there were local providers who had a great relationship with their clients, but lacked in the services provided.

Mark’s vision was to provide the products and services found on the national level under the umbrella of a local company’s service model. After gaining further experience with a local provider and completing the MBA program at the University of Toledo, Payroll Select was born.

Today Payroll Select is fulfilling its vision. Its clients are found in all sectors from government, to retailing, manufacturing, professional environments, and food and hospitality. They are successful in providing innovative products and services while offering a great client experience. This is evident by the amount of referrals received from clients and referral partners.
